Gambling measure stalls over need for prosecutor (The Indianapolis Star)
Fissures appeared Tuesday over a bill that would crack down on illegal gambling, most notably video poker machines. Republican and Democratic legislators could not agree on whether such legislation should include a special statewide prosecutor who would be responsible for making sure local officials enforce Indiana’s gambling laws.
